I believe the consolodation phase on MSFT appears to be coming to an end. MSFT looks like it is ready to start moving up.

The one less than bullish analyst is Blodgett of Merrill.
I am going to predict that he will up the stock to a "BUY".

My reason is that his firm is starting to call a bottom in the semis.
In addition, he was asking questions of the EPS impact of different PC shipment rates--based on IDC numbers and the 5% lower MSFT numbers.
I bet he realizes that the September quarter has upside if PC unit shipments are as forecasted by IDC.
Still MSFT did not lower June2002 EPS numbers even after lowering the September quarter.

Lets see how predictable this analyst is.<g>

btw--the ML semiconductor upgrades were predictable after noting their steady bearish tone turn to neutral and then to slightly bullish on technology. I bet Blodgett will not disappoint either.<g>
The fact is that MSFT's fundamentals are very good going into a great product cycle...I am sure he knows that..and an upgrade is justifiable given that it has also pulled back off of the highs.
