The Prophet> Do you really think the average consumer knows very much about RMBS anyway? Even if he/she did, it's highly unlikely that one would base a decision on whether to buy DRAM on anything he/she might know. I do think the average consumer who most likely takes their teenage children along with them when they shop for a computer and if you read almost any computer chat/ discussion area which I imagine many of these young teens do along with talking to their friends who also own computers continually hear negative comments / reports about Rambus justified or not. So yes I do think it can sway them away from a computer that appears to be controversial. Do you think many familes are buying cars with Firestone tires on them if they have an alternative?
