There's no margin issue. There might be a mutual fund issue where they can't own stocks under $5 but this margin thing is a myth. If a stock falls below $5 it may be non-marginable at most brokers but it doesn't generate margin calls just because it passes that barrier. Your buying power will disappear but the calculation to check your margin maintenance level stays the same. Ie, if you are far from a margin call when the stock is at 5.01 you aren't going to get a margin call when it closes at 4.95.

Now there may be people getting margin calls in the stock right now with it at 5.50-ish and that probably will pressure it the next few days.
