Oops, forgot about that. So even if ClawHammer taped out in their bulk process, it isn't really relevant. Regardless, Jerry has decided to stack his money up and is rattling the dice again. SOI is a big gamble, just like the Athlon, Cu and Dresden was before. I think JS likes the stress...

x86-64, on the otherhand, is an uncharacteristically conservative approach. It has a nice transition from 32 bits to 64 and so has a fall back position, unless there is some bigger risk than I see. Wonder why?
