So even if ClawHammer taped out in their bulk process, it isn't really relevant. Regardless, Jerry has decided to stack his money up and is rattling the dice again. SOI is a big gamble, just like the Athlon, Cu and Dresden was before. I think JS likes the stress... x86-64, on the otherhand, is an uncharacteristically conservative approach. It has a nice transition from 32 bits to 64 and so has a fall back position, unless there is some bigger risk than I see. Wonder why?
