Press Release August 3, 2001 Global Platinum + Gold, Inc. announces results of independent tests and major refiner assays During the past year, Global has been engaged in the research, development and testing of an evolving improved methodology for the extraction of platinum group metals from its Hassayampa property. We are pleased to report certain of those findings. First, an independent "chain of custody" test was conducted by Robert E. Fisher, a registered professional metallurgical engineer. From an 80 pound raw ore sample, Mr. Fisher recovered platinum in hand equal to 8.4 ounces per ton of screened ore (after deducting inquart used) with an estimated fineness of 90% or better. Additional tests have been completed and submitted to three major refiners of platinum group metals with results consistent with the Fisher analysis. Global has been able to produce a final product that consistently assays 99.4% pure platinum. Global is also pleased to announce that it has made its first sale of its final product to a major refiner, the results of which will be announced next week.
