They were at about 22%-23% without notebooks or servers.

Add in 22.5% of notebooks (if notebooks are about 30% of the market) and you add 6.75% of the total market taking you to 29%. Add in 10% of the SMP workstation / SHV server market (figuring that at 10% of the total market and you are at 30%.

And now your ASPs are being increased by the more lucrative notebook and workstation / server sales.

At the same time, Intel can no longer subsidize desktop APSs with notebook/workstation sales - AMD is putting pressure on Intel everywhere.
