[Management and marketing]

<<< I have nagging doubts about the management's ability to market their product. It seems they are content being in the background and that is not a desirable trait.>>>

Tom --

I can't help remembering what my grandmother used to say, "God's timing is not your timing. . ." or something like that. She was Canadian of Quaker heritage and I'm afraid she had a lot more patience than I do.

But the point is timing. I believe marketing will be the next big thrust. Amati's beefed up their sales force, if that's any consolation, but for a better answer, call Joe Grady (sales) or Tac Berry (marketing) and chat with either one.

About management, I've heard there'll come a time when new management will be brought in. When they get to, say, $200 million in revenues. Right now they're the right team for the job. I'm quite sure the board is active, too. No, I'll go out on a limb and say the board is active. I know they are.

I don't know JS very well. From what I've seen, he's both tough and personable -- not a bad combination --- and he's put together some great partnerships so far. How much of that is due to RC's being one of the toughest negotiators in the business I don't know. They seem to be a good team.

I hope this helps.

Regards,

Pat
