>4 million chips on 180nm per month isn't enough?<

When has Fab30 produced more than 4 million chips per month? Or more than 4 million chips per quarter for that matter?

> What about when it's 130nm? (of course that's down the road several months. Palomino's only 70mm^2 and Hammer is 105mm^2 on 130nm.<

According to AMD, Palomino will be 80mm2 at 130nm, and it won't be Palomino anyway. Thoroughbred will be the first 130nm processor, and AMD has never stated a die size for Thoroughbred.

>I think Fab 30 is more ready for the task then you think, and we're not even taking in the fact that Fab 25 can produce many duron/morgan's up to at least 1.2Ghz.<

Forget the latter. As long as AMD keeps talking about switching Fab25 to Flash, corporate America will not factor in its volume when considering the potential for future shortages should they decide to go with AMD. As for Fab30, Hector (and probably Jerry) talk about Fab30 being able to supply 30% of the market demand, but have yet to deliver even with both Fab25 and Fab30. Will the switch to 130nm provide sufficient additional unit volume at Fab30 to replace the lost production at Fab25 should AMD switch Fab25 to Flash? Corporate America obviously is not buying into AMD's long term potential to meet demand.
