The enormous HMO soft money to the GOP has been rewarded. I'm sure many backroom deals were made to help fund re-election campaigns with soft money for this cave-in to special interests at the expense of consumers. It's always the consumer getting screwed when the Republicans carry the ball. The consumer and the environment. It's really a wonder to me why any one outside their special interest groups can vote for these stinkers. Clearly they are costing us all money, corrupting the political system, stealing as much as they can, lying about it shamelessly and their #1 aim seems to be to pollute and plunder the global environment for profit. Although Bush's sinking poll numbers are encouraging (people finally waking up) we definitely need a Watergate type investigation to bring this all out into daylight. And I think we will get one. But the guilty are not going to cooperate easily. They have to be dragged in kicking and screaming. If the evidence comes out many will be fined, sent home and even imprisoned. If you think that can't happen just remember Watergate. All the President's Men went to prison or resigned first. This group is even more corrupt than Nixon's, and aims much bigger with their ripoffs.
