In, or going into? I assume you mean absolute when you say contraction, not just growth contraction. If so, the numbers don't show us in it yet.

What the difference between monetary deflation, and plain old deflation?

Real bad things sometimes happen to the economy, no doubt. The vast majority of the time, things are a little better or a little worse than OK.

So do you have a specific time frame for the start of Armageddon, so that I can check back and congratulate you on your prediction? One month, six months, a year?
