Aurora Systems, Inc. (www.aurora-sys.com), an international leader in the design and marketing of high performance LCD display controllers and MicroLCD chipsets, announced today the formation of a new strategic partnership with I-O Data Device, Inc., Japan's leading producer of computer peripherals.
I-O Data Device (www.iodata.com) selected Aurora Systems' ASI 321 image processor chip as the image processor and video processor for its new 15" UXGA LCD standalone monitor.
Delivering crisp image quality with high dpi resolution, the unit uses a 15" LCD panel with native resolution of 1600x2000. In addition to being a high-resolution LCD monitor, it is also a high-resolution TV monitor. Equipped with video input, the unit can accommodate input of DVD, VCR or TV signals directly. All units include an NTSC/PAL video decoder with de-interlacing function provided by ASI 321.

The funny thing, is that Aurora Systems doesn't seem to have a license to produce RDRAM based chipsets. Don't the longs think that they should be suing Aurora? Surely they have to be using RDRAM... (Their website only has SDRAM, LOL!!!)
