A friend of mine has been laid off now to leave the 1st of October. (How ever that works?) So, in essence he's fired but had 3 months to work, actually 2 now. Two things, first he and the 50 others in his office aren't very productive, I think he said that they have already run though all the computer games and are getting bored with them. Second, this has a delayed effect on the unemployment numbers. Even though the unemployment percentage didn't go up much this time there is still the upward pressure.

I typically am bearish when everyone else is and bullish when everyone else is. Sometimes I get caught buying a top or shorting a bottom. Thank God for mechanical stop losses.

I heard someone recently state that a trader needs a mentor. What do you think?
