Do you have any infromation to back up the claim that the equipment is unsafe for the environment?

Our neighbor and ally, Canada, is opposed to the drilling.

A significant % of the things that the US does are opposed by one ally or another at some point.

**The ANWR's beauty and 'look' is unique.

The drilling would take place on a few thousand acres out of an area that is close to 20 million acres. The area under consideration for drilling is not particuarly beautiful or unique.
