Dale: I have my doubts about the need for the desktop Barton, but I think AMD will need the mobile Barton to really put the screws to mobile Tualatin.

If SOI really ends up adding 20%+ to operating frequency, while reducing heat dissipation at the same time, desktop Barton would be a good match for any "Celeronization" of P4 (one could argue that such an event is already beginning to unfold with the low-end P4s + SDRAM).
