Claim, is the operative word here. Porn rentals are tabulated by how many units are rented. No one can know of what religious persuasion the renter is. A non-believer may rent 99 videos a month, and one who claims to be a believer might rent one. That does not indicate that since 100 videos are rented, 80 to 90 of them were rented by Christians. Your argument has no substance.
I support life in prison without the possibility of parole. If a state does not offer this option, and the crime was of a particularly cruel nature, the criminal must be prevented from roaming free among society. If that means capital punishment, so be it. I detest the wanton killing of dogs, but rabid dogs must be put down.
Jesus said nothing against war, and the commandment is " You will not murder", instead of the "not kill" translation of long ago. Would you rather I sit idly by, and let someone like Hitler take over the Earth, or fight against such a tragedy? I was trained as a soldier, and if the necessity had presented itself, I would have gone to war and done my duty.
I have already said that I eschew denominational religion, which is "mainline" Protestantism. |
