AUGUST ~ It's difficult to maintain a bullish stance in a market that won't cooperate. But with all our major indicators remaining bullish, we believe their accuracy will prove more profitable than following what appears to be the herd's response to earnings releases that we all knew would be poor. Our forward-looking picture suggests an upturn in the economy (however temporary) that will pull investors back into the market. The smart money, while talking negatively, continues to buy stocks in anticipation of a strong move to the upside. Monetary policy remains on the bullish side, as do our psychological indicators. We suggest that you continue to buy undervalued stocks for the long run, put them away, ignore the volatility and enjoy your summer.
