Does anyone here play "covered calls" on gizzards? I made some attempts on this sort of thing in the winter, and am gradually picking up a feel for what might work for me.
In my overall scheme of things, I've divided my portfolio into segments; tech, microcap, gold, etc. A fair portion lately has been dividend stuff (mostly REITS), which I refer to as "portfolio sludge" (g). For these, the typical quarterly dividend payment is .02-.03% (8-12% annually). I may be deluding myself, but I think I can get "sold covered calls" to provide more like 5% per month on semi-safe plays.
I don't think I'd have much luck in bulk (psychological issues would kill me), but on a more limited basis (10-15% of porfolio), maybe (g).

Kunta, played USXP on your call for about a five bagger. Thanks! Just wish I played it harder.
