Max, I think CSCO will be sold. They have traded up recently helped by rumors that CSCO has told their contract manufacturers to expect increased orders in the 4th quarter.
I believe they can only disappoint. JNPR says things are bad and so does NT. How can CSCO be any different. Most are expecting their sector to improve only in the middle of 2002.

Noted they did not give any guidance, leading to believe it will be met.

Looking at other candidates for JNPR type goodwiil writeoffs. YHOO is one (Geocities, Broadcom), CIEN, CSCO,
and many others. You really have to discount the goodwill on these companies books if it is from M&A activity.

Most of the share prices of these companies at the bottom in April seemed to be starting to appear like they will reflect that accounting.

Looking at YHOO, it should be valued at about $5.00/share by historical media company cashflow multiples (cash plus about 15-times cashflow). I won't even get into EBAY.
