Let me get this straight, IBM (with a PE in the 20's and actual increasing earnings) is mentioned in the same breath with CSCO (with a much higher PE and an actual loss reported) as being overvalued? Perhaps this is because Big Blue is gaining market share in many key areas from companies with much higher PEs. IMHO, consulting services and outsourcing don't go on the chopping block in economic slowdowns, they increase. BTW in IBM's case, they have been increasing during the economic slowdown. Perhap Barron's resident bear (a position maintained during much of the recent great bull market), Alan Abelson, has suddenly been blessed with market insight, but I personally doubt it. Keep smiling, Scott
