That recycling sounds like a load of bureaucrats wasting everyone's time and money. If the people with the rubbish and the people who dispose of it made their own arrangements, without compulsion and county bureaucrats, then the economic values would make the best things happen.

It's all part of the great government 'we will run your life, using your money' game. Which people in democracies seem to love because they go on voting for more and more of it. The governments invariably do really dumb things with that power. They can't even economically organize rubbish collection and electricity supply! Yet we entrust them with the world's economic levers. We should NOT be surprised when the world falls into fascism or communism and economic mayhem as a result.
