Hi all; Hyundai v. Rambus is going against Rambus much the same way that Rambus v. Infineon went against Rambus. Nearly 6 months ago I posted legal stuff having to do with their earlier squabble over the secrecy of Rambus' internal memos. (Rambus tried to declare it all completely secret, Hyundai asked for limited use, and the judge declared it to be open to anyone. This resulted in the press having a field day with Rambus' dirty laundry. My account of this activity is here: #reply-15377731 .
Rambus has been attempting to delay all the court proceedings, and why shouldn't they, they always seem to end up losing. In the following, they try to "stay" the Hyundai v. Rambus case, and, as usual, fail:
U.S. District Court ... Hyundai Electronics, et al v. Rambus, Inc. Rambusite website ... Docket 93, Hyundai v. Rambus, May 25, 2001 NOTICE OF MOTION AND MOTION before Judge Ronald M. Whyte by defendant Rambus, Inc. to stay proceedings with Notice set for 7/27/01 at 9:00 ... Docket 94, Hyundai v. Rambus, May 25, 2001 PROOF OF SERVICE by defendant Rambus, Inc. of order received [0-0], motion to stay proceedings [93-1], order received [0-0], statement case management [92-1] ... Docket 99, Hyundai v. Rambus, June 5, 2001 OPPOSITION by Plaintiff to motion to stay proceedings [93-1] ... Docket 110, Hyundai v. Rambus, June 5, 2001 TABLE OF CONTENTS AND TABLE OF AUTHORITIES by Plaintiff [99-1] to opposition to motion to stay proceedings ... Docket 107, Hyundai v. Rambus, June 11, 2001 STIPULATION and ORDER by Judge Ronald M. Whyte : advancing hearing on motion to stay proceedings [93-1] 9:00 6/15/01
Docket 108, Hyundai v. Rambus, June 11, 2001 REPLY by defendant Rambus, Inc. to opposition to motion to stay proceedings [93-1] ... Docket 117, Hyundai v. Rambus, June 19, 2001 MINUTES: (C/R Peter Torreano) (Hearing Date: 6/15/01) denying motion to stay proceedings [93-1]
Docket 118, Hyundai v. Rambus, June 19, 2001 ORDER by Judge Ronald M. Whyte denying without prejudice motion to stay proceedings [93-1] ( Date Entered: 6/25/01) (cc: all counsel) ... rambusite.com
Eventually the feces are going to interfere with the fan blade in the Hyundai v. Rambus case. But this isn't the "rocket docket" so the mills of the legal Gods will continue to grind slowly.
