Question from a Newbie. Suppose I wanted to buy 10 contracts of a Sep 40 call for $2.50. Does that mean that I have to have only $2500 in my account at the time I buy the call or do I need to have $40,000 in the account as well at the time I buy the call? I intend to sell the call before expiration. Maybe this varies with the broker.
