No enigma at all when you check out the Palestinian birthrate -- it's about eight kids per family.

I checked out the articles you posted from the Israeli left. If only there had been a Palestinian left -- a real Palestinian Peace Now movement -- to answer it, they might have accomplished something. Instead you just had Arafat, and he destroyed the Israeli left. Notice how your articles date from 1999? The left counted on Arafat fulfilling at least some of his promises, and they're history. Tattered remnants at best, trying to salvage their reputations, while Israel copes with the disaster they've left behind.
