I'm in cash collecting my 3.2% interest - which isn't very interesting (sic). And the train may well leave the station regardless of the lies.
I've been wondering what it takes to turn this thing around because there appears to be a negative closed-loop-feeback system in play. Earnings go down, people get laid (layed) off, people quit spending, earnings go down, people get laid.......The commonality I see here is that people get laid! (off or on)gggg
It may very well be that a BIG lie stops the cycle and reverses it. I'm sure that this is what ML and AJC are trying to do. I'm sure that they have the best interests of the Nation at heart. NOT
But then on the other hand ML and AJC may, MAY have a bunch of tech stock they bought back in March 2000!gggg
This just substantiates my case for letting TA rule, short term trades only, and turn off CNBC/MSNBC! If we collectively operate like this, the world will be different! gggg How, I'm not sure. But one thing for sure, those who lie for a living will have a tough time finding a job! But now that I have thought about that, Bill Clinton, President Bush, et al, didn't have all that tough of a time getting a job.
Quite honestly, I am flabergasted, dismayed, and what ever other adjectives you care to use, that the earnings estimates were that far off. Clearly contrived. Being an engineer at heart, I had cranked in quite a bit of room for error! I didn't even come close!
So I guess my conclusion is that unless we (a collective we) hold people responsible for their utterances, we will continue to suffer with their lies. I for one am very gullable, I believe what people say, usually. And I will not live my life other wise. If I stop listening I can't get hurt! It must be terrible to be one of the lie purveyors, knowing that you are causing people to quit listening. Slowly but surely, they will run out of audiences.
