Pacific Century CyberWorks Denies NASDAQ Listing Reports 09/05/99 HONG KONG, CHINA, 1999 SEP 5 (NB) -- By Staff Reporter, IT Daily. Pacific Century CyberWorks, the technology joint venture between Intel Corp. [NASDAQ:INTC] and Richard Li's Pacific Century Group. (PCG), announced on Friday that it had no plans for a listing on the Nasdaq stock market in the US or on Hong Kong's new Growth Enterprise Market.

Stock in the company has been rising rapidly on rumors that the company is eyeing a listing on the NASDAQ market.

In a statement to the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong, the company said, "The directors of the company note the recent increases in the price and trading volume of the shares and wish to state that they are not aware of any reasons for such increases."

The statement noted that recent newspaper articles had reported that neither Pacific Century Cyberworks, nor its subsidiary Cyberworks Ventures had any plans to list their shares on Nasdaq or the Growth Enterprise Market in Hong Kong.
