Comedy central: Bush wants to emphasize "compassion and character". Ha!
Even after he let his energy cronies gouge us and steal our tax cut and surplus, cheats consumers, pays off rich contributors with sweetheart deals and tax breaks, lies throughout the campaign about his intentions and aims to pollute the entire world he has the NERVE to pose as someone with honesty, character and compassion. And a phony and what an arrogant dick. Nothing but a big soft money pig trying to deflect criticism and manipulate his public image. Don't believe a word of it, people. About as sincere as that ploy of his, the faith-based bill which was just a ploy to impress his Baptist supporters and buy Catholic votes, though he knows damn well it is impossible to ever pass without severe restrictions as we have separation of church and state in our law and we also cannot descriminate between a real church and some whacko charlatan with a white collar or an arsenal in his basement. Jerry Falwell doesn't even think it's a good idea as the government will then be able to look into his finances. And we know he's really a lobbyist at heart. Bush and his spin doctors are truly a cynical bunch and must think we are all idiots. As soon as that lousy poll came out he's suddenly going to pose as "compassionate" again. What a bunch of slick turdballs.
