Hong Kong - eGlobal E-business Firm gets Funding 06/06/00 HONG KONG, CHINA, 2000 JUN 6 (NB) -- By Staff, IT Daily. eGlobal Technology Services, an Asia Pacific based e-business software sales and services firm, has attracted venture capital funds from US-based Worldview Technology Partners, Singapore-based SingTel Ventures, and Hong Kong-based Total E-commerce (TotalEcom).
Worldview, a US$750 million VC fund, SingTel Ventures, the venture capital arm of Singapore Telecom, and TotalEcom, a business to business e-commerce enabling company formed by Pacific Century CyberWorks (PCCW) and NetCel, totaled the first round of funding at HK$109.2 million.
eGlobal claims to have developed an innovative business model for accelerating the entry of world class software firms into Asia-Pacific markets.
The company established software sales, marketing and support operations in ten Asia Pacific countries in 1999, with a staff of 120.
eGlobal delivers all the staff and infrastructure required for emerging e-business software vendors to accelerate entry into Asia-Pacific markets. The company said its expertise and comprehensive services helped Asia-Pacific customers obtain local access, support and the latest software technology.
