PCCW Brings Web TV Service To Asian Viewers 07/05/00 HONG KONG, CHINA, 2000 JUL 5 (NB) -- By Staff, IT Daily. Asian viewers will soon receive what is claimed to be Hong Kong's first-ever synchronized TV-Broadband Internet service, following a partnership between NOW (Network of the World) and Pacific Century CyberWorks (PCCW).

In accordance with NOW’s original plans, the initial service features daily live original content offerings that cover pop culture.

NOW delivers two services, including a linear TV experience and streaming video, synchronized to Web content. The Web material features bold, constantly changing front pages, with in-depth content, including video clips, graphics, animation, text and Web links.

Content is currently is English, but will also be produced in Chinese and Japanese at a later date.
