NOW Cable Service Available In Hong Kong 08/16/00 HONG KONG, CHINA, 2000 AUG 16 (NB) -- By Staff, IT Daily. Pacific Century CyberWorks (PCCW) and i-CABLE Communications have announced that PCCW's flagship service, Network of the World (NOW), will soon be available on a new, dedicated Hong Kong Cable channel (Channel 28).

The service will commence on Aug. 28 and will run for an initial period of three months under a "carriage agreement," with scope for a longer term relationship and possible cooperation in other areas in the future.

The channel will allow "view-sers" (viewers and users) to access NOW's Internet and digital TV content, where they can drill down into video clips, graphics, animation, text and Web links.

The deal facilitates PCCW's rollout of its NOW service in Hong Kong, while providing i-CABLE subscribers with additional entertainment options.
