Schoolteam, a joint venture between Pacific Century CyberWorks (PCCW) and Digital Creation Company, has announced the launch of its educational platform in China and Singapore.

Schoolteam was piloted in Hong Kong in 1997 in conjunction with the Education Department and now claims more than 200,000 students as users, across 1,300 primary and secondary schools and educational institutes.

The company also launched the educational portal STChannels earlier this year, to meet the needs of IT education in Hong Kong.

Together with the Chinese Education Department, the company has now developed a tailor-made platform for students in Mainland China. In Singapore, the platform was developed in alliance with Ednovation and Datascan Information Systems, a provider of educational and multimedia products.

Digital Creation Company, a part of ITVentures, develops Internet technologies and provides Web-based e-commerce and communities systems.
