My impression of Powell, Cheney, Rice, and others is quite different. The very fact that they vouch for Bush makes me more confident that he is suitable for the presidency. I do not see them as venal conspirators, but as public- spirited persons who, when out of office, took advantage of legitimate opportunities to achieve financial security. They do not need to indulge in gouging for gain, nor do they appear to be desperately concerned with power.
