To all: Does amtx have something to do with the new cable modems? I live in a Buffalo NY suburb and am lucky enought to test this new technologie. These cable modems are Fast! I downloaded Netscape communicator ,"about 14 megs of data" in under 3 minutes. Blows away isdn! As soon as I turn on my cpu I am on the internet. The cost is $39 per month,hookup is $50 and a network card is included in that price. A modem is also included in your monthley bill. The company that made the modem is LANCITY ,has anyone heard of them? There are six test sites in the US and in my area they are selling hookups like hot cakes. This cable company is allso getting into phone service "adelphia". Either of these companys shure looks like a shure bet.The system is flawless and my IP never changes. Thanks for any info. duke
