Max, I think ML and the other brokerages want to string this trading level along as long as they can to make certain we don't go low enough to trigger a double bottom and tax-loss selling in October.

I believe their strategy is that if we can maintain the current channel, we'll leap up when the economic fundamentals improve just around the corner.

Of course I believe they'd be wrong, but you can't fault them for trying.
