Is it just me?....Or has this thread appeared to have dropped in popularity? Its no wonder. With the IT industry booming, names like HDTV, CDMA and Teledesic and on and on and on have washed out CTI. I could go forever with the acronyms and innovative technological solutions and/or catch-phrases related telecommunications being fed to the public on a daily basis. Mostly via the Internet.

I think Computer Telephony is definitely NOT HAPPENING like it was 3 years ago. The company(s) that can merge datacom with telcom in a global market will come out on top. I think so many of us forget the rest of the world out there and fail to see the Ericcson's and Samsung's out there.

Two companies.....Lucent and Microsoft are stealing the show. Anywhere and everywhere I look at the IT Industry, I see these two somewhere in the foreground or backround. These guys have got their hands in everything. From internal product development to gathering and grouping technology/architecture consortiums. They are doing it global too.

Any feedback?
