Dan Niles of Lehman Brothers Comments

INTC plans to cut prices by 50 percent on high
end chips on August 26th to gain share back
from AMD
INTC may consider another cut in October
Niles expects the price for the high-end 1.8 GHz
to drop to $260 from $562
He also expects that the low end will be cut as well
Niles comments that "For those who thought the
price war was already aggressive, you haven't
seen anything yet"
Niles said that AMD has increased its share
against INTC from 13 percent to 21 percent over
the past two years
