Grace - Maybe you'd like to man one of those IRS hot lines explaining to the public why, if they pay no federal income tax, just SS, they aren't getting a rebate. ... But the public knows that SS is a pension system so advantageous that not even Congress is allowed to participate, not a tax. They wouldn't dream of accepting a check from the Trust Fund's Lock Box. -g- Regards, Don
