THE SKY IS NOT FALLING......I think ANALysts are missing the point, July spending may be down, but not knocked out, there is a lot of money a lot of vibrancy that will create a rebound in the economy and that will be preceded by the market. I was just looking at what should be doom and gloom for pdas, that sales are down, but lets look at it with a different viewpoint, for instance PALM sold almost 1 million devices.
1 million....that is a lot of anything....
.....add that to the devices they already sold.....add the same for HANDspring and CPQ and the rest...that is a lot of pdas. With the lowered FOMC Federal Reserve interest rates still needing to go lower, to OPEN CARRY, to below the 2 year Treasury rates, we see Greenspan's FOMC lowering rates in August again. Already we can see an improvement in the economy....and modernization, and techinical innovation.....just imagine who had and had not devices like cell phones and pda PALM OS type devices just 2 years ago when all the doom and gloom was Y2K.....THE SKY DID NOT FALL.....today's lowest volume NASDAQ is resulting in only 30 or so points down, that on the MOST VULNERABLE LOW VOLUME DAY speaks VERY WELL FOR NASDAQ as does looking at the news without emotion, and thinking about it from both views. Eliminate the market sentiment and sales of a million of anything is a good thing....how many cars were sold this year, how many homes, how many boxes of cereal, the real question is when you already have these things, how many more do you need, if the corporate world is selling on this scale, even though it is lower than last year, all things considered that portends well for the rebound and total market and economic recovery just on the horizon.
