Just because the CEO WANTS to sell a company for $25 per share, doesn't mean a suitor will OFFER anywhere near that amount, especially in this weak economic environment.

i think the fear of the company being on the auction block and getting some low-ball offer is what is contributing to the drop in price today.

Of course, look at the big picture--WCOM is off about the same % today as the Nasdaq composite.

Now as far as the stock being cold and the snowmen, why not turn the cold into ice cream and sell some options today? Remember, the best situation for an option seller is a stock that non-option folks call "dead money". i say the deader the better! Sold $15 August puts today for $1.05.
