Electronic News is very good all-around trade rag except for terrible poetry on the back page (she's not funny and really strains for ryhmes). EE Times is a bit more techinical. There is an on-line service that I think is called Infrastructure. The address might be infras.com but I'm not absolutely sure. Also, AMAT has a good site. CMOS' site isn't too bad but they have so many pictures that the download gets aggravating. I really hate morningstar.net for that as well. Another idea is to snoop the other threads of related companies such as TER.

Don't be in awe of the Wall Street "geniuses" because the level of REAL knowledge, especially among portfolio managers is extremely low. I know because I used to be both a buy-side and sell-side technology analyst and I can vouch for how little difference there is between a well-informed amateur investor and a so-called professional. A little of your own research will easily put you on a level field with most money managers.
