Not really, Mark. There is a middle-man, the market-maker. He orchestrates the trading to his favor, keeping the spread for himself. So, if a stock trades at the ask, that means he is providing stock to those buyers. If a stock trades at the bid, the market-maker is buying stock. So, if we see all trades at the ask, as in the case I cited, then the market-maker will eventually raise the bid-ask to balance things out, whereupon sellers should arrive, given the higher bid quote. I take it you needed this information and were not just being cynical. Anyway, I am out of this stock, but it has held pretty well at 1.50 or thereabouts. |
