Bush did try to dominate all three wings of the government when he came in, very arrogant and dictatorial in his tone. The result, Jeffords bolted and other moderates were alienated. Public opinion also froze on him and gave him a very short honeymoon. Bush seems to think he's been given some kind of mandate to carry out war against consumers and the environment. Did any of you who voted for him want him to do this?
