Watched 'Gone With The Wind' over the weekend, I'm always struck by the lame performance of Leslie Howard (as Ashley Wilkes). One minute he uses an English accent, next minute a Southern accent, the next, a flat American accent, then, opps back to the English. He absolutlely walks through this great role, does nothing with it.

Of course, just about everyone else in the film is terrific, so it makes Howard's pathetic performance stand out even more.
