[start.]
By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS
SAN FRANCISCO (AP) -- Keeping in step with courts around the country,
the California Supreme Court ruled Monday that victims and families
cannot sue gun manufacturers when the products are used illegally.

The 5-1 decision overturned the nation's only state.....

... decision could insulate gunmakers in a lawsuit by...
and 10 other... At least 16 similar lawsuits have been filed...

"There is no upside for society with a product like that..."
"... were designed for mass killing and..."

"She said... should have restricted its sale to firing ranges,
police and military users."

As we who carry know,
first enforce existing laws before make new ones
especially when the agenda for those who want new laws
really want only 1 law, banning all guns like Canada etc.
And then we who carry know,
the best in-home protector
a police swat type shotgun
available for public private use
in-home use
not rabbit or duck hunting
but a quick without accurate aim,
general area in front of you
point and click click click
for an alls-clear
and another stay-at-home
"don't leave home without it"
only applies in eXtreme situations
when law & order cease
because of an huge natural disaster
like flooding out the police station etc.
and its not all that in-a-room closeness
but outside like around your house
then yes, ak wants an ak47 for foul weather usage
and other not fully auto,
but legal
where the following will apply in extreme conditions
like above law & order temporary Out2Lunch
and a bunch of mean men in a car drive up to your home,
and your hand gun or shotgun will not scare them
especially if they have the numbers out gunning you
and you can not do a HollyWood RifleMan 1950s shoting,
and they have rifles,
so if you have what above peson wants to deny you,
as in
"... were designed for mass killing and..."
"She said... should have restricted its sale to firing ranges,
police and military users."
then yes you will find a use, an upside
to counter her words of
"There is no upside for society with a product like that..."
especially when legal or not
these mean men, criminals already or just to become
will have them types of weapons.

doug, needs a all-wheel jeep(ak47) for foul weather days
and on nice day those precision made vehicles
lots of horsepower, accurate steering and keep clean
other types may only duplicate the ak, and costing x10,
but the look and feel may or not help with that cold fuzzy
feeling, but hay for horses one justs needs any excuse
to obtain a BMW type car when a Saab will do the job.
Best to own both and still have a great selection left to buy into.

Jack wanting that .50 machine of a gun is all balls,
and i been there and had it in front of me in Vietnam
and i did not enjoy it or feel safe with it, just too big
and makes just too much noise and draws attention
to where you is, and tells your not friends "me first"
as in take me out first. Its ok on a Navy SEAL's river
boat that can "fly" and turn on a dime, but on land
where you may need to move and regroup, its not.
The single shot version is nice, but then its use will
be only after you lose your home and want to take it
back, "one at a time."
