Now that the bubble has burst, there will be some stocks that you can buy and hold unless the fundamentals change but they may be range bound for a while as well. If msft were to trade down to a peg of one, it would be worth holding as a small position. It won't trade that low unless the whole entire market were to skid off a cliff. If that were to happen, the dow would be in the 6000 area or so probably. More likely, it will just languish.
