Taiwan's motherboard makers enjoyed strong growth in July digitimes.com Taiwanese motherboard makers said sales picked up in July, according to their own estimates. Second-tier companies such as Diamond Flower Electric Instrument (DFI), Abit Computer and Chaintech Computer enjoyed stronger growth than their first-tier competitors. Whether or not the current demand will continue in August and September will be the real indication of a recovery, they further said. Reducing inventory surpluses affected Chaintech¡¦s first-half profits. However, orders from European distributors in July and August have pulled up its sales.
