<<<Do you really think that $9 in "unpaid dividends" per $66 share is supposed to make the stock look attractive despite its proven capacity to gamble away that money wantonly in the stock market, its stagnant to dwindling operational earnings, the mounting threats to its monopolies, its consistent record of failure markets outside those monopolies, and its questionable accounting?>>>>

For the record, MSFT's results since 1995.

1996 8.671
1997 11.358

2000 22.956
2001 25.296

Operating Earnings
1995 $ 2.038B
1996 3.078
1997 5.130
1998 6.414

2000 10.937
2001 11.720

1996 3.719
1997 4.689
1998 8.433
1999 13.137
2000 13.961
2001 13.232 unaudited

These numbers hardly represent a disastrous performance by MSFT. Considering the economic environment for the last 1 1/2 years, MSFT is holding its own. I doubt that you will find many tech companies performing as well. Given the state of the PC industry, it is remarkable that MSFT is still growing its revenues and operating earnings. If the PC industry were to rebound, MSFT will benefit tremendously.

As far as questionable accounting practices, only bashers like you and maybe followers of Bill Parish don't like MSFT's reporting methods. Since you know nothing about financial reporting, and constantly display that lack of knowledge here, you should consider other methods of attacking MSFT.
