The option to delete should get rid of it forever. After deletion empty your recycle bin just to be sure and do a search on your computer for whatever the name of the file was to see if there are any other copies. If so delete them while holding down the shift key at the same time and it will be sent into the cyberspace graveyard forever without ever getting stored in the recycle bin.
