Bush has never liked working. As a part owner of the Texas Rangers he reportedly never came into the office, but did spend many long afternoons sitting in the stands eating peanuts and smoozing. Like the Governorship and Presidency he has always been a professional special interests frontman who was just handed sweetheart deals and titles by the party soft money financiers without having to work for it. Except for when he has to get up and make a speech (he is an effective campaigner) he rarely does any heavy thinking or working. He doesn't read or write much either, partly because he's dyslexic, partly because he just doesn't care. It's the gang behind him running everything, handling him carefully and writing him his daily scripts. Sort of like Reagan's second term when he was developing Alzheimer's and couldn't remember stuff. They did everything for him. Except Bush is a much younger man who has no excuse for needing 30 day vacations doing little but posing for photo ops. I don't know when the last time I had a 30 day vacation was but most Americans resent the hell out of this. A few arm twists to the Congress and he's off boasting of his "accomplishments". Sets a poor example as usual.
