Coby, very true that white collar unemployment is lower than blue, but that's always been the case. Unemployment is rising in all classes (albeit at uneven rates). That's why subprime lending is the first (but not the last) to get it's "turn in the barrel" when a recession hits. There's some evidence of credit deterioration affecting subprime lenders (see PVN's and CNC's last quarterly reports, for two examples).

I'm not aware of any publication breaking down debt levels by employment category or by income (but it's gotta be out there somewhere<G>)...
