Shortsellers shouldn't feel frustrated about a lack of enforcement to stop it. On the contrary, they should be pleased.

This type of silliness provides inefficiencies in the market. This is crucial, because the essence of what shortsellers do is this: they profit by exploiting inefficiencies.

As Benjamin Graham said:
"The sillier the market's behavior, the greater the opportunity for the business-like investor."

Bring on the silliness, I say.
